Job Description:

Year 6 Teacher required for a permanent role to start from September 2025! We are actively looking for an empathetic and diligent Year 6 Teacher to work in a mainstream primary school based in Watford on a permanent position. This position will be based in a three-form entry Primary school. This fantastic career opportunity would entail assisting and supporting children with their lessons, learning, and ensuring proper behaviour management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over a whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Ability to communicate with and encourage children with additional needs
  • Dedicated interest in children's education and creating the best learning environment
  • Positive outlook and attitude
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods
  • Good organisational and verbal communication skills

Requirements:

  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
  • A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Being passionate about teaching and learning
  • Availability to start ASAP
  • Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary
  • Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
