Job Description:

This senior technology leader will drive the execution and evolution of the technology operations function for our enterprise data platforms and assets. This role oversees a dynamic portfolio of data platforms and solutions, including data movement and storage systems, business intelligence and reporting tools, master and reference data solutions and other shared data assets. You’ll lead a hybrid environment that spans both cloud and on-premises technologies, ensuring our data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Job Responsibility:

Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
Provide a consistent operating model across all the on-prem and cloud platforms
Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
Automate all the repeatable tasks across all the on-prem and cloud platforms
Proactively build and promote adoption of the Enterprise Pipeline including automated testing and CI/CD
Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Requirements:

8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
5+ years of technology delivery or support

Nice to have:

5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry
5+ years of direct experience with data tools and platforms
3+ years of experience with management of cloud platforms
Familiarity with DevOps and DataOps practices
Certifications in Azure, AWS, or relevant data platforms
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data lifecycle management
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage numerous, competing demands from internal and external stakeholders
Ownership mentality with an ability to design and drive successful execution of priorities
Ability to manage in a matrixed organization environment
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
