Job Description:

A unique opportunity awaits at a specialist school dedicated to providing day and residential support for young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will play a crucial role in preparing students aged 11-16 for life through person-centered academic and vocational study programs, fostering independent living with employment or further study. The school environment features horticultural areas, outdoor learning spaces, a gym, a digital studio, and science labs.

Job Responsibility:

Assist students during class, ensuring they stay on track
Collaborate with the class teacher to maintain a smoothly running class
Enable learners to access the curriculum effectively
Support the pastoral needs of the learners
Actively contribute to setting up the learning environment
Provide support to learners on a 1:1 basis and within small groups throughout various activities
Utilize your interests to engage learners in the educational process

Requirements:

Ability to work with learners facing various learning difficulties
Confidence to support group activities across different educational subjects
Own transport (desirable but not essential)
Eligibility to work in the UK
NVQ Level 2 in Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

Nice to have:

Own transport
NVQ Level 2 in Teaching and Learning
