Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Teacher of French to join our secondary school in Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting on 24th February. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality French lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school has a strong commitment to language learning and values the impact of modern foreign languages on student development. Job Responsibility:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons that meet the national curriculum
Foster a love for language learning through interactive and innovative teaching strategies
Differentiate lessons to cater to a range of learning abilities and styles
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and concerns
Support students in preparing for examinations, including GCSE and A-Level (if applicable)
Encourage a growth mindset and resilience in language learning
Implement school policies on safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance
Support the school's vision and values in all aspects of teaching and professional conduct

Requirements:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
Eligibility to work in the UK
Excellent communication
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Fluent in French with excellent pronunciation and grammatical knowledge
Ability to inspire and engage learners
Strong classroom management and discipline techniques
Familiarity with GCSE French curriculum and assessments
Flexibility and adaptability
Commitment to continuous professional development
