Job Description:

The Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health plays a critical role in delivering health solutions by managing pharmacy operations, supporting safe dispensing practices, demonstrating compassionate care, and contributing to patient outcomes through various pharmacy-led services.

Job Responsibility:

Managing and improving patient health through dispensing, counseling, and immunizing
Overseeing pharmacy operations during bench shifts
Providing feedback about pharmacy team performance
Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Demonstrating compassionate care toward patients
Delivering immunizations proactively
Managing pharmacy inventory effectively
Escalating regulatory compliance issues to the Pharmacy Manager if needed
Writing pharmacy schedules when directed
Expanding knowledge through trainings and CMEs
Supporting clinical care delivery such as testing and prescribing
Complying with federal and state laws, regulations, and ethical principles.

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Physical ability to lift and move items up to 20 lbs
Communication skills for interaction with patients and colleagues
Customer service orientation.

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
