Job Description:

The role involves contributing to AI technology innovation and improving Atlassian's software products through collaboration and technical expertise.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to AI code generation technologies
Propose technical hypotheses to improve AI code generation utilizing knowledge of LLMs and other AI technologies
Make changes to code impacting Atlassian's software products for full life-cycle product development
Collaborate with the software development team to develop and improve Atlassian's software products and systems
Apply understanding of data structures and their implementation
Utilize Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript for codebase modifications
Write Postgres SQL and design database systems focusing on performance and scalability
Deploy and scale distributed services
Understand service observability to define reliable services with accurate logging and metrics
Use logging tools like Splunk for bug diagnosis and fixing
Navigate logs and metrics to suggest service improvements
Propose technical solutions with technical diagrams and documents
Review application code authored by teammates and provide valuable feedback
Work in an agile team environment, following timely sprints and sprint planning

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Science or a closely related field
18 months of software development experience with writing and maintaining code, building new features and improving system reliability and understanding of machine learning models and statistics including 18 months of experience working with Git and AWS components like SQS, S3, and EC2, and with React and Vue and/or Fastify
Must pass technical interview
