Job Description:

Randstad in conjunction with Australia Post are seeking mail sorters for the St Leonards Mail Centre. Duties include examining incoming mail and packages for damage or suspicious contents, organising mail by destination, type, or delivery route using manual methods or automated sorting machines, preparing mail for distribution by correctly labeling and categorising items, identifying and rerouting misaddressed or undeliverable mail, and adhering to Australia Post regulations and company policies regarding mail handling and confidentiality.

Job Responsibility:

Examine incoming mail and packages for damage or suspicious contents
Organise mail by destination, type, or delivery route using manual methods or automated sorting machines
Prepare mail for distribution by correctly labeling and categorising items
Identify and reroute misaddressed or undeliverable mail
Adhere to Australia Post regulations and company policies regarding mail handling and confidentiality

Requirements:

A good standard of literacy and numeracy
Be physically fit as the role requires extended times spent standing, bending and twisting
Strong focus on accuracy to ensure correct sorting and delivery
Efficiently manage multiple tasks and maintain an organised workspace
Effective verbal and written communication
Able to pass a urine based drug and alcohol screen
