Job Description:

Looking for a Human Resources Manager to be based out in Kuantan, Pahang. We are a growing distribution company representing multiple local brands across the East Coast region. As part of their East Coast expansion, this organisation is seeking a capable and experienced HR Manager / Assistant HR Manager to lead human resources operations for the region from our East Coast HQ in Kuantan. This role oversees the full spectrum of HR functions across 8 operational sites, including logistics, dealers, fueling plants, and retail/distribution points.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead HR operations across Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang
  • Manage and develop a regional HR team (HR Executive and HR Assistant)
  • Act as the HR business partner to regional operations and sales leadership
  • Oversee manpower planning and hiring for logistics, store, sales, and operations roles
  • Coordinate hiring with store-level admin and finance personnel
  • Manage onboarding, employee orientation, and workforce integration
  • Handle disciplinary cases, counseling, domestic inquiries, and labor court (JTK, IR, Mahkamah) matters
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, code of conduct, and corrective action processes
  • Act as liaison with legal and regulatory bodies regarding employee matters
  • Oversee monthly payroll for employees across all East Coast sites
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, HRDF)
  • Coordinate with finance teams and site admins on payroll documentation
  • Implement and ensure adherence to company HR policies and SOPs
  • Coordinate and support license and permit applications for foreign workers or regulatory needs
  • Monitor employment contracts, renewals, and benefits administration
  • Identify training needs and coordinate HRDF-claimable training initiatives
  • Support performance reviews and career development planning in alignment with business needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably from manufacturing, plantation, construction, logistics, or F&B industries
  • Strong experience in disciplinary action, JTK/IR handling, and labor court processes is ideal
  • Good understanding of payroll, statutory contributions, HR compliance, and labor law
  • Ability to work independently and manage a distributed workforce across multiple states
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with gas, logistics, or plant operations is an added advantage
