Job Description:

The Digital MarTech Engineering Group Manager will work within the Digital Engineering space on the MarTech team, leading and directing a team of professionals. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve objectives. The manager will apply in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions and have strong commercial awareness. The role involves full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget, and planning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate the ability to attract senior talent and multiple functions from inside and outside of company
  • Teach others how to set high organizational performance standards
  • Recognize trends for larger-scale development needs within and across teams
  • Audit department goals to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals
  • Develop and communicate department vision
  • Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of successful large-scale software efforts
  • Think in terms of architecture, not just code
  • Influence your team’s technical and business strategy
  • Lead design reviews for your team
  • Provide insightful code reviews
  • Demonstrate technical influence over 3-4 teams
  • Actively participate in the hiring process
  • Mentor others
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with an understanding of regulatory requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Software/Application Development and managing large development teams
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex digital transformation projects
  • Experience in designing and managing microservices-based applications
  • Practical knowledge and skills in utilizing cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Domain Experience in marketing and/or marketing technology
  • Domain experience in technology and operations
  • Strong understanding of the Marketing Technology landscape
  • Experience integrating marketing applications with internal and external data sources
  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
