Job Description:

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Review Senior Officer for its Irving, Texas location. Duties include assessing the effectiveness of credit risk management, performing risk analysis, evaluating transaction quality, and supporting senior management in global credit risk reviews. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field and 10 years of progressively responsible credit risk management experience in the financial services industry. Salary range is $186,988 to $203,400 per year. Hybrid work schedule is offered.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess the effectiveness of credit risk management as well as the ability of the business and independent risk to identify, monitor, and mitigate current and emerging credit risks
  • Oversee Banking and International Credit Review Entities through periodic full Risk Differentiated Reviews and quarterly reviews
  • Lead reviews for assigned Entity LATAM Central America and the Caribbean and any other Entity that could be assigned from the existing portfolio
  • Review transactions to analyze credit data, legal and corporate structures to determine if the risk involved in extending credit or any other product type is in line with the bank’s risk appetite
  • Perform sovereign credit risk and cross-border risk analysis to identify, monitor, and provide solutions to current and emerging credit risks across business lines
  • Perform assessment of the quality of assigned portfolios and relationships, including identification and evaluation of emerging risks and the effectiveness of credit risk controls
  • Evaluate the quality and adequacy of credit analysis and exposure analysis as well as accuracy and appropriateness of risk ratings and classifications of corporate, commercial, and high-net worth relationships
  • Prepare Credit Assessment Documents, Sample Rationale Documents, and Fundamental Credit Review Reports
  • Support Credit Review Managers, Senior Credit Review Managers, and Global Head of BICR on cluster and global tasks
  • Present findings and significant deficiencies to Credit Review Portfolio Managers and BICR Senior Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field and 10 years of progressively responsible experience in credit risk management
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements from the Office of Comptroller of Currency, Federal Reserve, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
  • Intra-agency regulatory classification
  • Assessing entities, customers, and transactions
  • Risk Rating Models
  • Analyzing credit limits, exposure components, risk rating, classifications, and collateral details
  • Credit risk analysis for distressed clients
  • Evaluating Corrective Action Plans and developing remediation strategies
  • Project management, including planning and execution of Risk Differentiated Reviews/Audits
  • Up to 30% international and domestic travel required
