Job Description:

A new Chinese EV vehicle start-up is looking for a Chief Exterior Designer to deliver compelling automotive exterior solutions and contribute to innovative designs for production and concept cars. The role requires senior-level expertise and creative independence with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver new, compelling designs solutions and product innovations for automotive exterior
Develop surprising, fresh and unique proposals in sketches, digital sketches, 3D models and renderings
Create fresh, innovative ideas with a stretch and forward thinking
Work traditionally and digitally (2D and 3D) for concepts and production programs
Project ownership and drive the team for high quality deliverables with timing discipline
Interface with cross-functional team during various design development phases
Create artistic presentation to senior management
High level of responsibility, creativity and independence
A great sense for human-centric design and being able to transfer the user´s needs into design proposals
Great understanding of automotive feasibility tasks and challenges
Willing to work in a fast-paced, multi-project, international and creative environment
A deep understanding of future markets and needs

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Transportation Design or Industrial Design
A minimum of 12 years experience in productand/or automotive design
Proven track of record of being greatly involved in at least one production and one show car
Excellent sketch abilities, exceptional creativity, developing new, unique, disruptive, inspiring and sophisticated design proposals
Great skills in Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Alias, ideally Sub-D and/or VRED and/or Blender or other VR tool
Microsoft PowerPoint and MS Office
