Category Manager

• Lead and manage strategic sourcing initiatives within the Cybersecurity and IT software category, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver optimal procurement solutions
• Drive cost savings and value creation through effective contract negotiation and supplier management
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, preferred supplier lists (PSL), and buying channel strategies
• Support the Category Manager in delivering category strategies and managing high-value procurement projects
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring delivery of agreed services and continuous improvement
• Maintain and manage a pipeline of contract renewals, proactively identifying opportunities for renegotiation or improvement
• Promote and implement agile procurement practices to enhance speed, flexibility, and value delivery across the function.

• Strong experience of IT procurement roles and specific experience software and cybersecurity
• Demonstrated strong commercial, negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to lead complex projects globally, including change management
• Software category management experience
• Stakeholder management in a complex environment
• Supplier management across global categories
• Experience in leading negotiations and managing large value procurement
• Having worked within complex, multi layered organisations and worked to the pace and drive required.
• Has degree or CIPS related qualifications.
