Methodology - Liberia (2026)

Employee (income tax + NASSCORP)
- Income tax is progressive on annual income: 0% up to LRD 70,000; 5% to 200,000; 15% to 800,000; 25% above. These marginal rates reproduce the published fixed amounts (LRD 6,500 at 200,000 and LRD 96,500 at 800,000).
- NASSCORP (social security): employee 4% (pension) and employer 6% (4% pension + 2% employment-injury). The employee contribution is deductible before income tax.
- Taxable annual income = annual gross - employee NASSCORP.

- Self-employed business income is taxed on the same progressive scale on annual net profit (revenue minus actual expenses).
