Employee (payroll tax + Social Security + NHI)
- There is no personal income tax. The employee payroll tax is 8% of remuneration above the US$10,000/year exemption.
- Social Security: employee 4%, employer 4.5%. National Health Insurance: employee 3.75%, employer 3.75%.
- Employer payroll tax is 2% (Class 1, small employers) or 6% (Class 2); the employer-cost estimate uses Class 2.
- Net = gross - employee payroll tax - Social Security - NHI.
