Methodology - Antigua and Barbuda (2026)

Employee (no income tax + Social Security + MBS + Education Levy)
- There is no personal income tax in Antigua and Barbuda.
- Social Security: employee 7% and employer 8% (private sector), on insurable earnings capped at XCD 6,500/month.
- Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS): employee 3.5% and employer 3.5%.
- Education Levy: 2.5% of monthly income up to XCD 5,000, plus 5% on the portion above XCD 5,000. The personal exemption is omitted here (a slight overstatement for low earners).
- Net = gross - Social Security - MBS - Education Levy.

Self-employed (sole proprietor)
