Verksamhetsledare

• Build, develop, and maintain professional relationships with other organizations of importance for research and higher education within agriculture, horticulture, and forestry
• Develop the partnership's offerings that strengthen the capacity and ability of researchers, teachers, and students to establish networks, collaboration, and communication with partners mainly outside academia
• Internally and externally capture interesting issues, knowledge challenges, and needs for innovations
• Manage the funds allocated for the activities with a focus on quality and resource efficiency, so that the internal organization is purposeful and effective
• Supervise employees and, in collaboration with the unit manager, be responsible for good, inspiring working conditions and a good work environment
• Represent SLU and the partnership and/or SLU and Sparbanken Skåne's centre for sustainable primary production, when required
• Initiate, apply for funds for, and drive certain development projects in close collaboration with others
• Work for strengthened funding for issues, initiatives, and infrastructure concerning sustainable development of agriculture, horticulture, and forestry
• Develop and maintain the business's role and relationships in the knowledge and innovation system
• Work for the positive development of SLU's campus Alnarp.

• Relevant university/college degree
• Very good understanding of research and its role in the knowledge system, and the conditions for research
• Broad network within areas relevant to the employment and at least a couple of years of experience being active in collaboration between academia and business and/or the public sector
• Very good knowledge of agriculture and knowledge development within agriculture
• Good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English
• At least a B driver's license
• Demonstrated good strategic ability and good leadership qualities, including independently and attentively leading operational work as well as development and change work in the short and long term
• Holistic view and ability to make own decisions
• Good ability to successfully build, develop, and maintain professional relationships and networks and the ability to create dialogue and develop meeting places
• Creative and solution-oriented as well as inspires confidence and creates engagement.

• Relevant doctoral degree, within a subject area relevant for a future sustainable development of primary production and related areas
• Good understanding of the national and international funding systems for research and innovation
• Experience in driving and developing research and development in collaboration between academia and business and/or other actors in society within a subject area relevant to the business
• Experience in successfully applying for and obtaining funds for research/development
• Operational management, especially within complex knowledge-intensive operations and/or membership organizations
• Personnel and/or budget responsibility.
