Jobbbeskrivning:

Work at the intersection of science, sustainability and social benefit while having real impact on the construction industry's transition. Develop and quality assure environmental assessment criteria for building products based on solid scientific foundation and relevant to the industry.

Jobbansvar:

Ensure quality, interpretation and relevance in Byggvarubedömningen's criteria for environmental assessments
Develop, revise and document criteria for chemical content, life cycle perspective and sustainable social aspects
Ensure that changes and new criteria are based on scientific foundation, current legislation and industry needs
Responsible for continuous environmental analysis within chemical legislation and building and sustainability issues as well as relevant policy areas
Work closely with members, industry organizations and suppliers to ensure relevant assessment criteria
Provide qualified support to assessors and colleagues in complex environmental and chemical issues
Participate in and when needed lead projects within criteria development and environmental work

Krav:

Academic background as civil engineer, natural scientist or equivalent with 4-5 years of education, preferably with focus on chemistry, toxicology, building materials, sustainability or environment
Deep understanding of material issues and clear life cycle perspective
Minimum five years of experience from construction industry or related sector working with relevant environmental and material issues
Experience with life cycle analyses and chemical issues is meritorious
Good knowledge of Swedish and European chemical legislation
Experience leading projects from start to finish
Experience working in or towards industry organizations
Experience with environmental assessment systems is a plus
Personal qualities: meticulous, analytical, secure in expert role, good at interpreting, explaining and communicating scientific information clearly and pedagogically, experienced in leading meetings and summarizing complex issues, driven, curious, solution-oriented, structured, communicative, good ability to build and develop relationships
