As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving ELKO’s expansion into the Bulgarian market. This is a high-impact role focused on identifying new business avenues, securing strategic partnerships, and scaling our presence from an initial €3-4 million portfolio to €15 million within three years. You will act as the primary link between our Romanian headquarters and the Bulgarian retail ecosystem.
Responsabilități:
New Business Acquisition: Actively identify and target potential clients and partners across Bulgaria to build a robust sales pipeline
Relationship Management: Proactively maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular meetings to identify their needs and provide timely feedback
Market & Competitive Intelligence: Collect and analyze information on Bulgarian market trends, key products, and competitor movements—specifically signaling issues regarding product placement, range, or pricing
Sales & Inventory Oversight: Monitor sales performance against available stock levels at partner locations and provide critical feedback to both partners and internal teams
Strategic Negotiations: Lead high-level commercial negotiations and finalize contracts with key strategic partners
Marketing Activation: Propose and participate in the implementation of in-store marketing campaigns

Digital Strategy Support: Help define and monitor online marketing campaigns, providing recommendations to modify, continue, or stop initiatives based on real-time results
Cross-Functional Synergy: Work closely with Romanian-based marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of Bulgarian market strategies
Cerințe:
3–4 years of proven success in business development or sales management within the consumer electronics or retail sector
Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Strong ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and formulate actionable sales strategies
Native-level Bulgarian is essential
professional proficiency in English is required for coordination with the Romanian office
Flexibility to travel across Bulgaria and frequently visit the HQ in Romania
An independent, “hunter” mentality with high initiative and ownership of results
