Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain software components, tools, and automation scripts in the z/OS environment
  • Support the full software lifecycle — installation, customization, upgrades, and maintenance (SMP/E)
  • Implement automation and DevOps solutions using REXX, JCL, Ansible, ZOWE, z/OSMF
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues (third-line development support)
  • Analyze and optimize system and application performance (RMF, SMF, Omegamon)
  • Configure and maintain z/OS subsystems and related components (Sysplex, Parmlib, Proclib, JES2)
  • Participate in mainframe modernization and migration projects (e.g., z/OS 3.1 upgrades, Sysplex migration)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and technical project teams

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with z/OS and related system software
  • Programming experience in REXX and JCL
  • Understanding of SMP/E software installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Sysplex, Parmlib, Proclib, JES2
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of VTAM, TCP/IP, Enterprise Extender
  • Experience with IOCD/HCD configuration
  • Knowledge of subsystems such as DB2, IMS, CICS, WebSphere MQ for z/OS
  • Skills in dump analysis and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with z/VM, zLinux, and zCX
  • Experience with mainframe modernization and migration projects
  • Familiarity with z/OSMF configuration and maintenance
  • Security management experience with RACF or Top Secret
