Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in mainframe storage administration
Proficiency in z/OS, DFSMS, and related IBM storage technologies
Experience administering DASD, tape libraries, and virtual tape systems in a z/OS environment
Familiarity with SAN/NAS environments and enterprise backup tools (e.g., IBM Spectrum Protect)
Experience planning and performing upgrades, migrations, etc
Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning

Job Responsibility

Configuration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise mainframe storage systems
Ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity across all storage platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable storage solutions and troubleshoot complex issues
Storage infrastructure management
Monitor and manage storage capacity, performance, and utilization
Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data protection
Analyze storage performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks
Tune storage configurations for optimal throughput and reliability
Planning and execution of storage upgrades and migrations
Perform firmware updates, patching, and hardware lifecycle management
