As a YouTube Shorts Channel Manager, you’ll be responsible for building, scaling and optimising short-form video performance across LADbible, UNILAD and SPORTbible YouTube Shorts channels. This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, platform performance and video monetisation. You’ll lead the end-to-end YouTube Shorts publishing and optimisation process.
Job Responsibility:
Own the day-to-day management of YouTube Shorts publishing across LADbible, UNILAD and SPORTbible, including scheduling, optimisation, metadata, and feed strategy
Work closely with editorial, production and social teams to shape and activate a clear YouTube Shorts strategy
Treat monetisation as a core KPI, alongside views and growth
Analyse Shorts performance at scale
Optimise Shorts for maximum discoverability within the Shorts feed
Ensure Shorts content is on-brand, IP-safe and consistently presented across LADbible, UNILAD and SPORTbible
Stay ahead of YouTube Shorts updates, monetisation changes, algorithm shifts and competitive insights
Leverage LADbible Group’s extensive originals and licensed video content archive to identify Shorts opportunities
Requirements:
2–3+ years’ experience managing and scaling high-performing YouTube channels, with a strong focus on YouTube Shorts or short-form video
A deep, current understanding of YouTube Shorts, including performance levers, monetisation mechanics and algorithmic discovery
Proven experience using data to inform content decisions, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable strategy
Strong commercial mindset, with experience optimising content for platform revenue as well as reach
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple brands, feeds and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly around hooks, captions, timing and packaging
An entrepreneurial, test-and-learn mentality, with a desire to build, iterate and improve systems and processes
