Job Responsibility:

  • Thumbnail Conceptualization: Collaborate with content creators to develop creative concepts for thumbnails that effectively convey the content and message of the video
  • Visual Design: Utilize graphic design software to create visually engaging thumbnails optimized for various devices and screen sizes
  • Image Selection and Enhancement: Select compelling images from video footage or photoshoots and enhance them as needed to create eye-catching thumbnails
  • Text Integration: Incorporate legible text elements such as titles, captions, and call-to-action phrases into thumbnail designs
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure consistency with the channel's branding guidelines, including color schemes, fonts, and logo placement, to maintain brand identity
  • Testing and Optimization: Conduct A/B testing of different thumbnail designs to identify optimal performance in terms of click-through rate (CTR) and viewer engagement
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in thumbnail design and YouTube optimization
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborate closely with content creators, videographers, and editors to ensure thumbnails accurately represent video content
  • Feedback Implementation: Efficiently implement feedback from the team, iterating on designs to align with branding and content objectives
  • Coordination with Packaging Team: Coordinate with the packaging team to ensure thumbnail designs align with overall branding and packaging strategies
  • Team Communication: Share ideas, feedback, and assets with team members to collectively contribute to the success of thumbnail designs, utilizing communication tools such as Monday.com and Discord
  • Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality thumbnails in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Have 1-2+ years of experience creating Live Action thumbnails and using Photoshop
  • Understand visual design principles for thumbnails, including composition and color theory
  • Provide a portfolio or previous experience demonstrating proficiency in creating various thumbnail styles
  • Possess strong communication skills and accountability when working with team members
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changes when necessary
  • Able to understand and implement feedback to improve thumbnail quality
  • Flexible in adjusting to changes in deadlines and creating emergency thumbnails
  • Knowledgeable about creating realistic-looking thumbnails
  • Always looking to improve skills and the quality of work
