Job Description

As the Youth Worker, you will deliver strengths-based case management to young people to support them with addressing vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment. You will collaborate with the team to deliver quality services that enhance self-efficacy of our youth by focusing on their strengths and inherent abilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertaking individual assessments and providing referrals
  • Developing and delivering group activities and workshops
  • Working with young people to set goals addressing non-vocational barriers
  • Developing individual case plans and monitoring progress
  • Case conferencing with job placement coach
  • Challenging the status quo and advocating for the young person
  • Actively engaging with local community and gaining support for referrals

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in youth work or similar role in case management of disengaged young people
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategies to overcome employment challenges for disadvantaged youth
  • Proven ability to deliver workshops and group facilitation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flair for networking
  • Proficient in technology and systems
  • Unrestricted drivers licence
