Job Description

Youth Support Worker - Secure Centre. Are you passionate about making a difference in young lives? We're looking for Youth Support Workers to join our dedicated team at the Aycliffe Secure Centre. This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable young people aged 10-18, helping them overcome challenges and thrive in a safe, structured environment. As a Youth Support Worker, you'll provide specialist care and guidance to young people facing complex challenges. You'll act as a keyworker, offering consistency, support, and advocacy while promoting safety and personal growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Build positive relationships and provide emotional support
  • Safeguard and challenge young people appropriately
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  • Create care plans and progress reports
  • Lead educational, recreational, and physical activities
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015

Requirements

  • Passion for improving young lives
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Calm, empathetic approach to challenging situations
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Previous care experience is helpful
