Their mission is to empower young individuals, aged 11-25, who have faced challenging life circumstances by providing a nurturing and caring environment that fosters personal growth and positive life choices.
Job Responsibility:
Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
Offering emotional support and counselling
Assisting in the development and implementation of individual care plans
Encouraging educational attainment and providing educational support
Facilitating workshops, group activities, and life skills sessions
Collaborating with other team members and external agencies
Monitoring and evaluating progress, maintaining accurate records, and reporting
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a care setting with young people
Knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory and child protection policy
Experience advocating on behalf of a young person
Register under the PVG scheme
Full driving licence
Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
Nice to have:
Experience in a secure setting is beneficial, but not essential
