We are currently seeking a Youth Floating Support Worker for an exciting Temp-to-Perm opportunity with a leading specialist youth charity. In this role, you will provide vital interventions to young people aged 16-25, helping them build the skills and confidence necessary to maintain their own homes and live independently. You will act as a mentor, advocate, and practical guide, ensuring that the young people you support have the best possible start to their adult lives.
Job Responsibility:
Provide one-to-one and group-based support tailored to individual needs
Take the lead in creating safety plans and identifying support plans in partnership with young people
Empower young people to understand their housing rights and assist them with benefit claims and financial planning
Offer practical 'hands-on' support with life skills and managing a home
Work effectively within a skilled team and network with external agencies to improve outcomes for young people
Requirements:
A valid NISCC registration, as well as enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
1 year of experience working with young people in supported housing or community-based support OR a relevant degree (Social Work, Youth & Community Work) plus 6 months of experience
Proven experience in risk assessment, safety planning, and support planning
A full, current driving license with access to a car insured for business use
High level of resilience, compassion, and the ability to work autonomously in a challenging environment
