KidStrong Edmonds is looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives. We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old. KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum.
Job Responsibility:
Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Ensure cleanliness of the center
Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
Communicate professionally with co-workers
Complete trainings as directed
Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum
Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Management
(Optional) Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break)
Requirements:
Passion for working with children
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics (not required)
CPR certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety
Nice to have:
Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required
