Job Description:

We are prayerfully searching for a passionate, Spirit-led youth minister who is ready to help build a small youth group into a thriving, Christ-centered youth program. The youth minister will lead and develop a vibrant ministry for youth in grades 6th through 12th, helping them grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, develop a strong biblical foundation, experience authentic Christian community, and discover and use their gifts in service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, coordinate, administer, and evaluate a comprehensive youth ministry
  • Craft lessons and units for both Sundays and Wednesdays
  • Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment
  • Build meaningful relationships with youth and their families
  • Organize and oversee special fellowship, discipleship, and mission opportunities
  • Form an intentional and meaningful partnership with Children’s Ministry and Young Adult ministry leaders
  • Participate in worship and broader congregational life
  • Manage youth ministry planning, communication, and budgeting

Requirements:

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to youth ministry
  • Someone early in their ministry career
  • Passionate about discipling youth
  • Creative, energetic, and ready to build and grow a ministry
  • Strong communicator and relational leader
  • Aligned with the beliefs and practices of a Church of Christ congregation
  • Fully supportive of child safety and protection policies
  • Knowledgeable about best teaching practices with an understanding of neurodivergence and the unique needs of middle schoolers versus high schoolers
  • Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Are willing and able for collaboration with other ministry leaders
