Job Description

Sometimes, the best way to get a child back into education isn't with a textbook, it's with a connection. We are looking for inspiring Youth Mentors to work with children in crisis care who are currently disengaged from school. If you have a background in sports coaching, youth work, drama, or care, and you know how to build rapport with reluctant teenagers, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a positive role model, building trust and rapport with vulnerable young people
  • Use a student's interests (sports, art, gaming, cooking) to re-engage them and teach life skills
  • Support the transition back into a structured educational setting
  • Accompany young people to community-based activities to build social confidence

Requirements

  • Experience working with "at-risk" youth, care-experienced children, or vulnerable young people
  • A background in Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Psychology, or Residential Care is ideal
  • A relatable, energetic, and empathetic personality
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is highly advantageous for this role
