Job Description:

A great part-time opportunity to inspire our young people. Muswell Hill United Synagogue is looking for energetic, creative Youth Leaders to help our children and teens connect with Jewish life, community and one another. You’ll lead engaging Shabbat morning activities for primary-age children and run our popular R-Club for Years 7–8 (ages 11–13), creating welcoming, age-appropriate experiences that young people look forward to each week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead Shabbat youth activities/services for primary-age children, delivering fun, meaningful sessions that build confidence and Jewish identity
  • Plan and run R-Club (Years 7–8) mid-week, with support from the Rebbetzin, encouraging participation and a strong sense of belonging
  • Collaborate with the Rabbinic Team and Youth Director to develop ad-hoc programmes and events that keep MHS youth engaged in the wider community
  • Invest in your growth by taking part in training and development to strengthen your leadership skills

Requirements:

  • Creative, engaging and high-energy, able to inspire ages 6–13 across different levels of religious observance
  • A confident communicator who builds warm rapport with young people and parents
  • Passionate about Judaism and enthusiastic about helping young people experience it in relatable, inclusive ways
