Job Description:

The Youth Engagement Officer will work within the Aston Villa Foundation's Youth Engagement department, supporting young people to raise their aspirations and divert them away from negative influences in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role is part of the Engagement, Sport & Wellbeing division.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the planning and delivery of a variety of Intervention-based programmes
Create and deliver a range of sporting and non-sporting activities to empower young people
Develop and deliver workshops to educate young people on key societal issues
Provide ongoing support by mentoring vulnerable and ‘at-risk’ youngsters within a 1:1 format

Requirements:

Excellent communication and active listening skills
Ability to show empathy and motivate others
Experience in creating, leading, and delivering sport and educational interventions
Hold relevant qualifications such as an NGB level 2 in a Sport
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships with different audiences and stakeholders
