We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Youth Engagement Coordinator to join our dedicated Young People’s Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodivergent young people and those with complex needs, helping them build confidence, connection, and independence through inclusive, engaging activities. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a diverse programme of short breaks, events, and activities—ensuring that every young person feels seen, valued, and supported.
Job Responsibility
Plan and deliver a varied, inclusive programme of activities and events for young people
Coordinate staff, logistics, venues, and resources for smooth, safe delivery
Incorporate sensory-friendly and accessible approaches into all sessions
Gather feedback from young people and families to evaluate and improve services
Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and community partners
Support risk assessments, budgeting, and record-keeping for all activities
Represent the charity at local community events and partnership meetings
Requirements
Experience working with or supporting neurodivergent individuals or those with learning disabilities
Experience engaging with young people in community or home-based settings
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and experience responding to concerns
Excellent communication, planning, and IT skills
A flexible approach to working hours (including evenings/weekends as needed)
Full UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle
Nice to have
NVQ/OCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or related area
Knowledge of neurodivergent strategies and inclusive activity planning
