Job Description:

Develop and facilitate a new youth development programme at Share, delivering sessions both at training centres and out in the community. Help students achieve their personal objectives and keep learning in an engaging, fun and stimulating way.

Job Responsibility:

  • Think creatively when planning and facilitating the programme
  • Support progression pathways for young people who have a learning disability and/or who are autistic
  • Work with each young person to develop an accessible action plan
  • Work to strengthen local community and youth networks

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with young people
  • Good understanding of the challenges faced by adults with learning disabilities
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Ability to take a collaborative and empowering approach
  • Strong commitment to the inclusion of disabled people in society

Nice to have:

Experience of planning and facilitating skills development programmes for young adults with a learning disability or autistic young adults
