Job Description

This exciting project delivered by YMCA Trinty Group will work with young people, 11-18 (Up to 25 SEN), community members and vulnerable adults across Peterborough to provide a safe and engaging space with a programme of activities to support people to belong, contribute and thrive.

Job Responsibility

  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging space for young people and the wider community
  • Work closely with the Youth & Community Project Manager and other Project Worker to develop, deliver and evaluate youth and community programmes within our Community Hub
  • Interact with members of the public across our programmes
  • digital hub, community fridge, Youth Club, in-school outreach and life & career skills

Requirements

  • Have an understanding of holistic development of children and young people
  • Significant experience of working with young people/communities/the public, either as a volunteer or in employment
  • Ability to engage with and appropriately support young people as well as community members

  • Support parent, carers and other adults involved in young people’s lives with wellbeing and mental health support

  • Increase access to community services and employment, education and training opportunities
  • Increase awareness of and strengthen the young person’s personal support networks, reducing reliance on professional support networks
