Job Description:

Are you someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in a young person’s life? This role is an opportunity to join an alternative provision setting within the Cabot Learning Federation, supporting pupils who need patience, understanding and positive guidance. We are looking for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant who can bring energy, empathy and consistency to the classroom. This is a setting where relationships really matter. Many of the pupils will have struggled in a mainstream environment, so your support will play a key part in helping them rebuild confidence and re‑engage with their learning.

Job Responsibility:

  • working closely with pupils who present behavioural, emotional or social challenges
  • supporting learning in small groups or one to one
  • helping pupils regulate their behaviour and encouraging positive choices
  • help create a calm and safe environment
  • assisting the teaching team in delivering lessons
  • guiding pupils through tasks
  • modelling positive communication
  • helping them develop independence
  • being a steady and reliable presence that students can trust
