You’ll be joining a specialist alternative provision school in Bristol that gives young people a fresh start outside mainstream education. This nurturing, therapeutic environment helps pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs rebuild trust, self‑belief and meaningful engagement with learning.
Job Responsibility:
Mentoring young people with behavioural, emotional and social needs
Being a calm and steady presence when pupils face challenging moments
Offering outreach support for students struggling to attend or engage
Helping young people regulate, reset and return to learning
Working closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams to embed personalised behaviour plans
Encouraging pupils to grow emotionally, build resilience and develop positive routines
Providing consistent support that helps pupils feel seen, heard and believed in
Requirements:
Experience supporting young people with behaviour needs, SEMH or complex backgrounds
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as outreach is part of the role
