Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity to join the Boots Legal & Compliance team on a fixed term 12-month basis for a Year in Industry - Commercial Paralegal role, based in Nottingham. The Commercial Law team provides advice on all types of commercial contracts for Boots and its brands, and you will get excellent experience and insight into an in-house commercial contracting team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to the Commercial Law team
  • Monitor and manage the central commercial law inbox, ensuring queries are logged and prioritised effectively
  • Maintain accurate filing and organisation of commercial contracts and related documentation
  • Respond to ad-hoc legal and administrative queries from internal stakeholders
  • Review lower value and lower complexity commercial contracts in accordance with established playbooks and templates
  • Liaise with external law firms supporting the team, including coordinating triage of incoming requests and sharing relevant documentation.

Requirements:

  • Either be on track to obtain, or have obtained a 2:1 or above in a law degree (or other degree subject if you have completed the PGDL or an equivalent law conversion course)
  • A keen interest in commercial law and a willingness to learn and develop your legal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documents and tasks reliably
  • Excellent attention to detail when handling contracts and capturing information
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive approach with a readiness to support team members.
