Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to join a respected independent prep school in Camden. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils in their final year before senior school in a nurturing and well-structured environment.

Job Responsibility:

Provide in-class support to pupils in Year 6, ensuring they are fully engaged and making strong academic progress
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support and differentiation
Assist with small group and 1:1 interventions to boost confidence and attainment
Help pupils develop independence and resilience as they prepare for transition to secondary education
Promote positive behaviour, manage challenges effectively, and ensure a calm, safe learning space.

Requirements:

Prior experience working with upper KS2 pupils (Year 5/6 preferred)
Valid Positive Handling / Restraint training (essential)
Skilled in managing behaviour calmly and consistently
Energetic, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and progress.
