Job Description

justteachers is seeking a resilient and encouraging Year 6 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming primary school in the Colne area, to start ASAP. This role will be to start ASAP and will run until the end of the academic year, this role is perfect for someone keen to make a measurable impact during a pivotal phase of KS2.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide targeted support to Year 6 pupils, including SATs preparation and booster groups
  • Offer 1:1 and small‑group intervention across reading, writing and maths
  • Promote positive behaviour and effective learning habits

Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting KS2 learners, ideally Year 6
  • Understanding of end‑of‑KS2 expectations and intervention strategies
  • Strong communication, empathy and teamwork skills
  • legal right to work in the UK
  • enhanced DBS including a children’s barred list check and where applicable a vulnerable adults barred list check
