Year 6 Teacher required for a permanent role to start from September 2026! We are actively looking for an empathetic and diligent Year 6 Teacher to work in a mainstream primary school based in Watford on a permanent position. This position will be based in a three-form entry Primary school. This fantastic career opportunity would entail assisting and supporting children with their lessons, learning, and ensuring proper behaviour management.
Job Responsibility:
Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
Having control over a whole class and maintaining discipline
Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
Ability to communicate with and encourage children with additional needs
Dedicated interest in children's education and creating the best learning environment
Positive outlook and attitude
Knowledge of various teaching methods
Good organisational and verbal communication skills
Requirements:
An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
Strong knowledge of the curriculum
Being passionate about teaching and learning
Availability to start ASAP
Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary
Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
