Job Description:

Are you an enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated Year 6 Teacher with a proven track record of inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our welcoming primary school team in Haslemere, starting this September. This role offers the opportunity to lead a Year 6 class through a crucial stage of their primary education.

Job Responsibility:

Planning, preparing, and delivering highly engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils in your Year 6 class
Creating a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment that fosters independence, resilience, and a love of learning
Thoroughly assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing targeted feedback and adapting teaching strategies to maximize outcomes
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of pupil achievement and contributing to detailed pupil reports
Collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and academic success
Leading and inspiring pupils through the transition from primary to secondary education
Contributing actively to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events
Upholding the school's ethos and policies, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6
Strong understanding of SATs preparation and the associated pressures
Deep understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment framework
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge older primary learners
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised, resilient, and able to manage the demands of a Year 6 class effectively
Committed to continuous professional development and contributing to a collaborative team environment
