Job Description:

Year 5 Class Teacher | Shoreham-by-Sea. Duration: April 2026 - End of Summer Term. Are you an experienced educator looking to make a splash in a vibrant coastal community? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Year 5 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Shoreham-by-Sea for the upcoming Summer Term. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a curious, energetic cohort through their penultimate year of primary school, ensuring they are confident and ready for the leap to Year 6.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning
  • Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive, productive environment using established school behaviour policies
  • Assessment: Tracking pupil progress and providing tailored support to close any attainment gaps
  • Summer Activities: Getting involved in the "fun stuff"-from sports days and local Shoreham field trips to summer performances

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Not open to ECTs (Early Career Teachers)
  • A resilient, creative, and collaborative professional who can integrate quickly into a close-knit teaching team
