Year 5 Class Teacher | Long-Term Placement. Are you a Year 5 specialist ready to inspire a class of eager learners? Randstad Education is looking for a dynamic and committed Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the heart of East Grinstead. Upper Key Stage 2 is a crucial stage where students build the independence and stamina needed for their final year of primary school. Job Responsibility:

  • Engaging Delivery: Plan and teach the Year 5 curriculum, with a strong focus on deepening comprehension in Literacy and fluency in Numeracy
  • Academic Scaffolding: Differentiate tasks to challenge high-achievers while providing vital support for students with SEN or EAL requirements
  • Classroom Harmony: Implement consistent behavior management strategies to maintain a focused and positive learning environment
  • Formative Assessment: Regularly track pupil progress and use data to bridge learning gaps through targeted interventions

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. We welcome applications from both experienced practitioners and ECTs
  • UKS2 Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Year 5/6 curriculum and experience preparing students for the transition to Year 6
  • Collaboration: A team player who works effectively with TAs and the wider school community
  • Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of child protection protocols and KCSiE guidelines
