Justteachers is proud to be supporting a dynamic and welcoming primary academy in the Kettering area in the recruitment of a dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher. This full-time, permanent opportunity is due to start in June 2026, with shortlisting currently underway. Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum (including English, Maths, Science, History, and more)
  • Assess and track pupil progress using both formal and informal assessment methods
  • Support pupils' emotional, social, and academic development
  • Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and SEND needs
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, respect, and independence
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding progress, behaviour, and achievement
  • Contribute to wider school life and uphold the academy's values and ethos

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching within a primary classroom setting
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young learners
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Two recent school-based or education references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
