Job Description

A vibrant primary school in Burnley is looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class. The role will be full time, for the full academic year, from September 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the delivery of lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Support pupils with differing abilities and learning needs

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience supporting children within KS2
  • Knowledge of intervention programmes and classroom support strategies
  • Enhanced DBS including a children's barred list check and where applicable a vulnerable adults barred list check is required for all successful candidates
  • Legal right to work in the UK
