Job Description

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Colne, starting after February half term. This is a full-time, long-term role teaching a well‑behaved and engaged Year 4 class. The school is recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong community spirit and dedication to helping every child succeed.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress to support continued development
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to share ideas and best practice
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s values

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 4
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Two education or school-based references
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and support pupils to achieve their potential
