Year 4 Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from as soon as possible This Year 4 Teacher role offers the opportunity to work part time in a supportive primary school environment where consistency, clear routines, and positive relationships are central to daily practice. The Year 4 Teacher will contribute to delivering engaging lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development, making this an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking a long-term, ongoing role. Duties as Year 4 Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging Year 4 lessons in line with the national curriculum Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and behaviour Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and delivery Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Maintain clear classroom routines and high expectations for behaviour Provide feedback to pupils to support progress and confidence Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times Ideal Year 4 Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4 Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities Flexible and committed approach to part-time teaching Willingness to commit to a long-term temporary and ongoing role Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Stand Out with Step Teachers At Step Teachers, we’re proud to be the only education recruitment agency in Norfolk offering Step On training, part of the County’s respected Norfolk Steps behaviour management programme to all teachers and support staff who register with us.
