Job Description:

Long-term, Full-time | February Start | £140+ per day. We are working in close partnership with a well-established primary school in Hastings who are seeking a confident and committed Year 4 Primary Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from February. This is a supportive and well-organised school with clear expectations around behaviour, shared planning across KS2, and a leadership team that is visible and realistic about workload. The school has a strong sense of community and values consistency and collaboration across the staff team. The successful teacher will take full responsibility for the class and will be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a settled year group team. The school is looking for someone who can provide stability, structure, and engaging teaching.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and delivering engaging KS2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Maintaining a calm, structured classroom environment
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Working closely with support staff and senior leaders
  • Contributing positively to the wider school ethos

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
