Job Description:

Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible, extending to September 2026. This school provides a calm, nurturing, and well‑structured learning environment where pupils benefit from supportive adults, consistent routines, and purposeful teaching. Staff work collaboratively to uphold strong expectations, helping pupils feel safe, motivated, and confident. Pupils respond positively to lessons that encourage independence, curiosity, and steady academic progress across the curriculum.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach a Year 3 class full time with responsibility for delivering high‑quality lessons
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
  • Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider subject areas
  • Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and a positive classroom climate
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Contribute to phase planning, meetings, and whole‑school initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 experience
  • Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Confident planning, teaching and assessing independently
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of differing abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
