Job Description

Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible, extending to September 2026. This school provides a calm, nurturing, and well‑structured learning environment where pupils benefit from supportive adults, consistent routines, and purposeful teaching. Job Responsibility

  • Teach a Year 3 class full time with responsibility for delivering high‑quality lessons
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
  • Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy, and wider subject areas
  • Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and a positive classroom climate
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Contribute to phase planning, meetings, and whole‑school initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 experience
  • Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Confident planning, teaching and assessing independently
  • Able to motivate and support pupils of differing abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
